FINAL PRESS RELEASE-ECOMONDO 2021
The Italian Chamber of Commerce-Egypt, in cooperation with, Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), organizer of Ecomondo and Key Energy Trade Fair, organized a business delegation to visit Ecomondo 2021.
After a year of interruption due to the health situation around the world, this year the 25th edition of Ecomondo and Key Energy, the two trade fairs dedicated to the circular economy and renewable energies organized by IEG in collaboration with ITA and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, are back in- person, taking place contemporarily at the Rimini Exhibition Centre from October 25 to 29, 2021.
Almost 85% of attendance compared to the last pre-Covid edition, more than 1,080 brands present throughout the district for 90% of the area, 500 hours of conferences and seminars, with the tenth anniversary of the General Assembly of the Green Economy, these are the numbers that confirm Ecomondo as the main reference point for the circular economy and renewable energy in Europe and the Mediterranean basin.
In cooperation and with the support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce-Egypt, 14 Egyptian companies, operating in various sectors, took part to the Fair on 27th and 28th October for B2B meetings with several Italian exhibitors. B2B meetings were previously organized through a dedicated platform prepared by the organizer to facilitate the exchange of profiles, through which Egyptian companies have selected the Italian counterpart of their interest prior of their departure to Rimini.
More than 150 business meetings were successfully held between the Egyptian companies and Italian Exhibitors in the field of: water treatment, technology and machinery for waste processing, renewable energy and circular bioeconomy.
In addition to business meetings, the Egyptian delegation attended as well the conference "Africa Green Growth" on 27th of in the morning, Organized by Res4Africa in cooperation with Ecomondo Scientific Technical Committee, Key Energy Scientific Technical Committee, which aims to foster commercial relations between Italian companies and countries of the African continent projected towards a model of sustainable development through green technologies.
During the fair, the delegate in Italy of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Egypt had the opportunity to meet Mr. Hassan Abdel-Hamid, Director and Legal Representative for Italy of the representative office of Banque Misr that was established in Italy in the September 2019. During the meeting, the Director illustrated the activities that the Rap. Office carries out in Italy for the betterment of economic, commercial, and industrial relationships between the Egyptian and Italian companies, including the establishment of strategic relationships with all the financial institutions present in Italy.
Furthermore, the representative of CCI-Egypt had the opportunity to meet Mr. Hazem Kamal, Minister Plenipotentiary and Director of Commercial Office of Embassy of Egypt in Italy. They agreed on the possibility of developing joint initiatives and cooperation in the field of commercial services aiming at a further strengthening of commercial ties between the two countries.
The fair was also an opportunity to illustrate the activities carried out by the Italian Chamber of Commerce- Egypt to promote and encourage bilateral cooperation between Italian and Egyptian companies, to offer reliable services for business development of SMEs.
